January Prayers of Blessings for the Children
Parents'
Prayers for January -Prayers
based on the Psalms-· January is a
time for new beginnings. Let us begin
a life of prayer for our
children for the New Year. God, who
makes all things new, will also
renew our children. Although our
children may not understand the meaning
of all these prayers now, they will
take root in their hearts
and in time
bear abundant fruits.
January 1 Bless
them, O Lord Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand
in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the
law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1,2) Dear Lord, you are the source of all things new. Lord, help our children to
start this New Year with a renewed body and mind. Lord, you are the source of
all blessings. You have said, "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the
counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of
mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates
day and night." Likewise help our children to live blessed lives so they
may always delight in God's word as the children of God. Lord, you have given us your precepts. The computer has replaced the gospel
message in this generation, and the Internet has become the idol that this
generation worships. Despite this, O Lord, may our children understand the
eternal blessings of God. May they live a life of full of blessings. May they
not stand in the way of proud mockers, but through the word of God, may they
become humble and obedient to his word. May they find fulfillment only in you. We pray in the name of Jesus, Amen. January 2 Help them to lead fruitful lives He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in
season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. (Psalm 1:3) O Lord of love, thank you that our children are healthy and happy in you
today. Lord, thank you that you are their Lord, and you watch over them moment
by moment. Our earnest prayer is that they will be like trees planted by water
so that season by season, they will bear much fruit in their character, in
their lives, and in the Holy Spirit. Help us to offer them up to you as bearers
of good fruits. You are the Lord of all things. You give power, and you put all things in
motion. Help our children to lead fulfilling lives so they may always live in
the word and obey your will. May they prosper in all things. Help them to
realize what it means to prosper. It does not mean prosper in the worldly
sense, but that they may live a life of faith built on the solid rock that is
eternal. We pray in the name of Jesus, Amen. January 3 May they seek the Lord. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your
inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. Serve the LORD with fear
and rejoice with trembling. (Psalm 2:8,11) You are the Lord of all things. We give you all the glory and honor. Thank
you for watching over our children and for giving them life. Thank you for
watching over their health. We pray that in all things they seek first your
divine wisdom, because you have promised that if they do, the ends of the earth
will be their possessions. Help them to be children who abide in the Lord. May
they acknowledge you in all things. Lord, you are our refuge and our shield. When our children experience
trials, we pray that they don't run to the world for refuge, but that they
first run to the Lord and You will be their refuge. When they start their work,
and face difficulties, lead them to seek the Lord's help first. When they seek
you, bless all their endeavour. We pray that in claiming your promises, you
will bless their work. In their lives, there are things they desire to have.
Please hear their prayer request with compassion and answer them according to
your will; and as they pray, please bless their prayer lives so they may grow
in faith. We pray in the name of Jesus, Amen. January 4 Free them from fear I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side.
(Psalm 3:6) Almighty God, thank you that our children can be victorious today because
of the courage that you have given them. Thank you that you are with them
always, when they are tired, lonely, and frightened. Help them to be clothed in
the power of God. Help them to seek God's help in all circumstances, and also
to humbly accept others' help from time to time. We believe in your promise,
that you are a shield around us, Lord. You bestow glory on us, and you lift up
our heads. God, you are Jehovah Nissi. May others see that God is with our children
always, and just as you have given David victory, likewise, give them the same
victory in you. We pray that they may not fear an army of tens of thousands,
but that they may fear only God. Help them to live a life of victory without
fear.
We pray in the name of Jesus, in whose name there is victory against our
enemies. Amen.
