Parents' Prayers For February -Prayers for
the blessings of good health- The most basic physical needs for our children are safety and good
health. They need to be healthy physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Included in his salvation plan is Gods providence of harmony and
healing. That is why He is called "Jehovah Rophe" which means the
"Lord Who Heals". Bless your children in the Name of the Lord,
Jehovah Rophe, that their lives may overflow with good health, life, and
safety. We must remember as we pray that God desires good health for our
children. Not only so, he delights to bless their health. God desires for all his children to be healthy and happy. February 1 Blessings of
longevity and health The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but
the years of the wicked are cut short. (Proverbs 10:27) Thank you, O Lord, for loving our family and for
watching over us day by day. Thank you for our children's school life and for
giving them wisdom. Be with us, O Lord, even as we breathe, and in all the
things that we do during the day. Thank you for watching over us and protecting
us, especially during the dangerous times. May you receive glory through our
family. Lord, we pray for good health, and long lives
for our children. Give them the blessings of a relationship with God, obedience
to him, and the blessings of longevity. Give them good health so they may
maintain and care for the life that you have given them. We pray in Jesus name, who is the source of all
life. Amen.
February 2 Give us health for
our bodies My son, pay attention to what I say; listen
closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your
heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole
body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
(Proverbs 4:20-23) Merciful and benevolent Lord, thank you for
giving us the necessary health to complete the day. Thank you for watching over
our children at school, at home, and on the road. Thank you for listening to
even the small prayers and for answering them. We pray for the children's health because you
are the source of all life. Please give them good health for all of their
organs and body functions. Not only so, but give them good spiritual health and
good mental health. Although we live in a world of injury, please give us
speedy healing for all of our wounds. Even if we should get ill because we took
poor care of our bodies, even then, Lord, grant us a strong immune system to
overcome all illness. If we should happen to be in a serious accident and we
need blood transfusion, Lord, please protect us from blood tainted from the
AIDS virus. We pray in the name of Jesus, Amen. February 3 Be healthy for God's Kingdom The Lord will keep you free from every disease. (Deuteronomy 7:15) O Lord, you are glad to give us good health. Thank you for our family's
health and helping us so we can work and study hard today. Thank you for our
daily bread for the nourishment of our bodies. There are many in this world who
are dying of starvation. May the day come when all the people of the world will
no longer hunger but feast together. We pray especially for the starving
children in Africa and North Korea. Please relieve them of their suffering and
give them sustenance. O God of life, you have given the blessings of old age to those you love.
May we enjoy the blessings of a long life before we return to you. Give us the
blessings of health in our family life, work life, and school life. May we use
this good health, not to take advantage of others, but to help others and to
further the territory of Your Kingdom. May we use our good health for the glory
of God. Help our children to realize that they too must take care of their
health to be used in God's Kingdom. We pray in the name of Jesus, who gives us good health. Amen. February 4 The blessings of healthy eyes The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body
will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full
of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that
darkness! (Matthew 6:22-23) O Lord, our light, thank you for today and thank you for watching over our
children as they go to and come back safely from school. As we walk the path of
life, may you be the lamp to our feet and light unto our way. Bless our
children at school. May your light give them wisdom and provide for them in
areas where they are lacking. May their lives be filled with thanksgiving as
they trust in you to provide. Lord, thank you for giving our children beautiful eyes. May you bless their
eyes so they may have healthy sight. When they study or read, give them good
vision and protect their eyes from injury. Sustain their sight, even in old
age, so they may never fail to read the Bible. May they never misuse their
sight by criticizing others or judging others with haughty eyes.
We pray in the name of Jesus, who came to be the Light of the World. Amen.
