April 1st Week: May we become a family established by God
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 127:1-2)
O Lord of all Creation, thank you for establishing the family. We pray for our family. We want to restore the image of the family, which you have created, and restore our rights as your children, which Satan has taken from us. We want to restore the Garden of Eden in our lives so our family may know the true joy that God has meant us to have.
More than anything else, help us to become the family that you have established us to be. The family that is not established by you will fall apart regardless of how hard its members try. May we be established and sustained by God. Help our family to bear fruit and grow in you.
May the foundation of our family be established on the Word of God. May that foundation never shake, despite the wind and the storm. May the husband, wife, and the children all be rooted in the Word of God, and may we be established by your wisdom. Lord, may your hands build our home, because a home built by merely human hands can fall apart.
We pray in the name of Jesus, who establishes solid homes. Amen.
April 2nd Week: Help us to raise steadfast children
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. (Psalm 127:3-5)
We give you praise and thanks, O Lord, for giving us our children as your gift and reward. Thank you for your beautiful creation of life in our family and for commissioning us to raise these children. Help us to raise these precious lives to be steadfast in all of their ways.
We know that you gave us these children so we may raise them to belong to the Kingdom of G od. We confess that these lives do not belong to us; rather they belong wholly to you. Help us to raise them to be steadfast in all their ways so they may find your will for them.
Children are like a crown for their parents so they may never be put to shame in front of their enemies. Guide us to raise these precious lives you have given us according to your word, your wisdom, and your will. Help us not to neglect and disrespect them. Help our family to raise steadfast children.
We pray in the name of Jesus, who gives us life. Amen.
April 3rd Week: Help our family to revere God
Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table. Thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord. (Psalm 128:1-4)
We pray for your blessings for our family: for the husband, the wife, and the children. We do not desire the blessings of this world, but rather we ask for the blessings of revering your name, and of knowing the holy fear of God. We want to receive the blessings you have already planned for us.
First of all, help our family to fear and revere God and to put God's will above everything else. We want to receive the blessings that come from fearing the Lord, and we want to eat the fruit of our labor according to the above passage. Guide us so none of our labor will be in vain. May you watch over and guide all the works of our hands.
We ask for the blessings of prosperity that come from having the holy fear of God. May the will of God be the first priority in our family. We ask for your blessings when we sit down to share our meals. May the blessings that come from revering God abound in our family.
We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
April 4th Week: May we see the blessings of Jerusalem
Thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord. May the Lord bless you from Zion all the days of your life; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem, and may you live to see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel.(Psalm 128:4-6)
Lord, we seek your blessings today, knowing that you delight to bless our family. We want to receive the precious blessings of God. We long to receive God's wonderful blessings, which the world cannot give us. The world considers money, fame, and power to be blessings. However in our family, we long for God's blessings and the blessings of Jerusalem. You said that you would bless us from Zion; may that blessing abide in our family.
May the blessings of Jerusalem be passed down to our descendants, and may they see your precious blessings for generations to come. We believe that the blessings of Jerusalem will be given to the worshipers of God. As we worship, may we be God-centered, Bible-centered, and grace-centered. May our cups overflow with your blessings.
You have promised that we will see our children's children. May the blessings of Jerusalem abide with them forever. Help us to be peaceful and not quarrelsome. Help us to have peace with God through worship. May we long for these true blessings.
We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
